I have this Notebook :

As you are probably aware its hard drive is only 60gb.

My question is this:  Can I take windows off the hard drive and put it on a USB stick so that when I fire up my laptop it boots from the USB?

I'm a complete novice and any help will be much appreciated.

Thank you.

You picture takes a while to be approved.

For a HP Stream, use a Cloud Account and/OR an external storage device, leaving Windows and the Main Apps on the PC.

Have I missed your point?

@Mr-Ian

Basically --NO -- you can move Windows to an external drive or USB stick.
