Microsoft Windows 11

Periodically, my computer will stop working.  The screen is still up with my programs/webpages/etc but I can't close or save them.  Opening up the Task Manager does nothing but literally open it.  I can't quit or end programs nor can I shut down properly.  I can understand this happening while playing video games since they run hot.  But having chrome and word open doesn't seem like a combo that would make things lock ever hour or so.  I've gone through the various fixes on the trouble shooter and nothing is coming up as bad.  I've blown out the vents and went back to using a riser instead of my normal desk top just in case but I still ended up with a hard reboot mid essay.   I've tried shutting down everything I don't need running but since it's a newer computer, that really seems like a bad selling point there.   It's frustrating because this computer isn't even a year old and it's acting worse than the Toshiba I had before this. Hell I even did a full wipe/restore incase I loaded something stupid   I'm running Windows 11 now but this problem happened on Windows 10 as well.  I'm tempted to send this in but wanted to first see if anyone had any good ideas on what to try first.

Thanks,
Kirsten
