Stuck at the "HP Protected by HP Sure Start" splash screen. I can hit esc, f1, f10, ect and it says it's doing stuff in the bottom left but it never completes any commands. it just sits there and will not attempt to "restore" the bios again with a windows +b or +v reboot.  Windows +b will load a bios recovery but it doesn't give me the option to do anything.  I've tried creating the bios USB recovery, but that doesn't work either.  Prior to system getting into this state, I had issues with USB drives getting corrupted.   I'm currently trying this without a hard drive installed.  Amy ideas?

I have the same issue but with the G6 version. i do want to try to remove the RTC batttery but not so handy in opening a laptop so I was wondering if someone else tried it before with a succesfull result? all the hard resets and rebooting with Win+v or b aren't working and BIOS can't be accessed.
