HP G60 Series
Model: G60-634CA
I turned on my computer and it wouldn’t run. It was working fine yesterday and didn’t get dropped or anything since. It keeps getting stopped on a black screen that says “No bootable device — insert boot disk and press any key”. It also beeps once every three seconds or so, the fan is running and none of the lights (CAPS lock, etc.) are flashing. The battery died awhile ago so I use AC power.
So far I’ve tried:
- Hard disk test through System Diagnostics and
BIOS menus = “Hard Disk Not Exist” error
- Memory test = passed
- Removing and reseating the hard drive
I haven’t changed the hard drive, RAM, etc. since we first got this laptop and it’s done this before but fixed itself. Am I out of a laptop or can I still fix it?
