Hi All,
I have about 300 of these Chromebooks in service right now, and have had 8 of them brought to me in the past week or two with the same symptoms- no power from either USB-C charge port, no LED status light on charging, no power or startup, etc. I have had a lot of other ones of this model start up with a brief "Firmware Updating", do not turn off, etc. My guess is that something happened with the 8 during a firmware update that effectively bricked the devices. Is there any option that I have to try to recover these devices other than a new motherboard? Anyone else experiencing this issue with this or similar models after a recent OS update?
I have tried multiple chargers, disconnecting the battery cable, hard reset key combo, etc. with no luck.
