HP laptop 14

I recently got a HP 14 Laptop for Christmas and I used it for 4 days and I tried charging the laptop today and it was orange, then I left and when I came back the light was gone so I tried turning the computer on and the light started flashing white and then it stopped, so then I unplugged the AC adapter and made sure it was on right and then I retried plugging the charger in the computer and the light stayed off. Please help I really want to fix this.

It sounds like you're experiencing issues with your HP 14 laptop's charging. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

Check the Power Source: Ensure that the power outlet is functioning correctly. You might want to try plugging in another device to see if it charges normally.

Inspect the Charger and Cable: Check the AC adapter and the charging cable for any visible damage. Make sure that all connections are secure, and that there are no bent pins or frayed wires.

Perform a Hard Reset: Sometimes, a hard reset can resolve power-related issues. To do this, turn off the laptop, unplug it, and remove the battery (if possible). Hold the power button down for about 15-20 seconds. Then, reconnect the battery (if applicable) and plug in the laptop. Try turning it on.

Update Drivers: Ensure that your laptop's drivers, especially those related to power management, are up-to-date. You can do this through the Device Manager in the Windows operating system.

Battery Calibration: Perform a battery calibration. Drain the battery completely, then fully charge it without interruptions. This process can help recalibrate the battery level indicators.

BIOS Update: Check if there is a BIOS update available for your laptop model on the HP support website. Sometimes, firmware updates can address charging issues.
