hi

my HP 2000-bf60CA has started crashing approx 5 minutes after it loads and i log in.

it allways get the BSOD with the following error.

system_service_exception tcpip.sys

what are the steps i need to complete.

i did a system restore to a restore point 2 weeks ago, but the issue is still there.

the machine is unworkable really, as you could be doing anything or nothing on the laptop, and it just goes back to the BSOD.

thanks

sorted it, by finally getting it into safe mode.

(think it was F4 then exit, then advanced startup options, safe mode)

then removed both AVG 2012 and Norton Internet security, and a few other programs like limewire etc.

working fine since.

Hello LithiumKid1976,

Glad to hear that you got everything working.

You can reinstall one of the anti-virus programs.

Sometimes when you have multiple antivirus programs they can cause problems.

If you are going to reinstall the AVG program, you will need to use the Norton removal tool.
