Hi everyone,
I have an old HP 2000 laptop, model 2000-208CA and I would like to know what is the best & secured method to change the image BIOS or simply erase it (blue HP logo) when my laptop starts.
Of course, it's an old laptop bought in 2011 but I want to keep it for a personal project because it still works fine. The BIOS is the old BIOS so, no UEFI inside.
If you have a solution or more, you will make my day, even my year! 😉
In waiting for your replies, many thanks in advance,

Hey!
You cannot erase the HP logo, it is baked into the bios, you wouldn't want to delete or change your bios.
It is the software that "magically" makes everything work.
It is signed by HP, and will only work if it has the right signature corresponding to the bios.
Generally its a good idea to enter your System SKU as the product number
Here's how you can find it:
1. Press windows key + R
2. Type in "msinfo32"
3. In the list of system information, it shows "System SKU"
You can download your BIOS by looking up your product here:

After you found your bios;
1. Download the .EXE file.
2. Run the downloaded package.
3.When asked, select "Create bios flash drive" in the software. (You could upgrade it through windows, and generally it works.)
Here is a link that shows how you can update your bios from a USB flash drive.

I do not work for HP, and am volunteering my free time to help some people where/when I can. Have a good day! 🙂
