Product: HP 255 G8 Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Purchased laptop on the 24th of December 2021 and used 2 or 3 times briefly, and now not posting with the error caps lock beep code of 5.3 (5 slow beeps and 3 fast.)
This apparently correlates to - The embedded controller times out waiting for the BIOS.
I will contact support for repair as under warranty if there is not a simple way to fix this issue but I am somewhat adept with building desktops and can't understand how a board failure would randomly occur a week after purchase and wondering if there's any other solution. I have power cycled the laptop and has no success either.
Thanks in advance.
