Product: Probook 470 G0

Hi

 

I have purchased a Probbok 40 G0 but It has a bios password on it and the previous owner does not know or remember it.

I have read online that I would need to contact you to get a SMC.bin file sent to replace the bios to remove it.

 

How do I go about getting this file?

What you read online is OLD news and no longer true.  HP no longer distributes these files.

 

In addition, HP does not do BIOS password resets -- so you are stuck.

 

If you take the laptop to a local repair facility, they may have a way to do that for you, but we are not permitted to provide any assistance in that.
