Microsoft Windows 11

I recently purchased a HP 650 G3 from a garage sale and wish to install Linux to turn it into a mini home server. I cannot boot to USB due to being unable to access the BIOS. There is an administrator password set on the BIOS and my neighbor has forgotten it. I have tried numerous different techniques posted on forums in order to access the BIOS to clear the password, to no avail. Is there a solution to this problem, or should I just consider it a wash and junk the laptop for parts?
