Product: HP EliteBook 820 G3
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
HP 820 G3 having problems booting up after it has been off for a few hours.
Typically takes 10 attempts to turn it on in the morning & only seems to work when it is connected to mains charger. Otherwise on pressing the power on button, the cooling fan starts and the f11 LED (orange) is lit. After approx. 15 seconds this stops, the caps lock LED (white) single flash & the laptop is off.
When it does eventually power up, everything seems to work OK.
I have tried
Removing & swapping the RAM modules
Replaced the battery
Defaulted BIOS settings & checked the time & date are OK
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
Could it be a dead CMOS battery?
