Pavilion 15-cw1500sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

About a week ago my laptop installed a BIOS update (along with some others), which failed and has rendered the laptop unusable. I've tried everything that I can find on the HP Support (Win + V, Win + B, USB recovery etc), but none of this has worked, it just gets stuck in a BIOS 'recovery' / 'verification' loop (see pics below). I've found some threads with similar problems but can't see a way to fix my problem using those methods. Please can someone help?! It's (just - 2 months) out of warranty so no prospect of HP fixing it. Someone has suggested removing the CMOS battery from the motherboard to reset the BIOS - I've taken the back off the laptop but the CMOS battery isn't readily removable and I daren't try to remove the motherboard to find it in case it completely screws up the laptop (if it isn't already). Thanks in advance!!
