So I have this Chromebook which is giving me a lot of trouble and I've really just had enough of it at this point, and trying to contact HP support is useless as the laptop's warranty has expired by about 4 months (expired June 23 of this year) and HP rather infuriatingly does not offer any basic support such as being able to talk to an agent unless the warranty is still active, otherwise it's a minimum fee of £10 a month which I am definitely not interested in buying. The issue is that (on 3 occasions now) the laptop doesn't automatically power on when the lid is opened and doesn't respond to me pressing the power button, and assuming the battery is dead the LED indicator light next to the USB-C charging port doesn't light up which would if the laptop is either on or receiving charge. The first time this happened was around May or June this year and before contacting HP Support I decided to first try and tackle the issue by disassembling the laptop and trying to fix the problem itself using HP's guide on YouTube. The first thing I did was to disconnect the battery lead to the motherboard and reconnect it again, and lo and behold that worked, and the laptop powered on normally. I reassembled it and I didn't really think much of it and thought it was a one off. Regardless I decided to read my laptop's warranty from the website in curiosity to see what would be covered by it. However I found that the laptop's warranty had expired in early May, and when this happened it was well after that date, and it showed that the warranty had started in early May too, despite the fact I purchased the laptop in late June. Noticing this discrepancy I disputed this and provided proof of purchase and the warranty was renewed and pushed back so it expired on June 23, which ovbiously is now irrelevant. During this period when the warranty was still active I never bothered contacting support further as apart from this issue I was satisfied with the laptop. Fast forward to now, this issue happened just a few days ago and also today which was quite inconvenient, even though I knew the solution to the problem, as I wanted to know what the problem was and also despite it being out of warranty I wanted someone from HP to at least tell me what's going wrong and how I can resolve it, but because it's out of warranty I cannot talk to an agent. At most I would want to either replace the laptop or refund it however I do understand it's out of warranty so this probably won't happen. On a minimum level I just want to find the root of this problem.

Sorry for making this so long but this issue has been bothering me and its complex to explain and involved a lot of stuff going on.
