I have the HP ENVY 16 H1053DX at it has 16GB of DDR5 5600 RAM
Model Number: 9U360UA
it is using:
2x8GB ( 8GB Micron Technology 5600 DDR5 part number: MTC4C10163S1SC56BD1 )
I have tried adding:
Crucial 64GB (2 x 32GB) 262-Pin DDR5 SO-DIMM DDR5 5600
but the OS does not boot. It stays turned off. The power light button is visible though.
RAM speed added is same as what I have, and same voltage, but jumping to 64GB
BIOS: Insyde F.22 (9/5/2024)
SMBIOS version: 3.4

@AndyE241122, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Envy 16!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand that you are experiencing issues upgrading the RAM on your HP ENVY 16 H1053DX.
Based on the specifications of your device, the HP ENVY 16 H1053DX supports a maximum of 32GB of DDR5 RAM (16GB x 2). Unfortunately, this model does not support 64GB (32GB x 2) configurations, which is why your system is not booting with the Crucial 64GB kit.
Here are the officially supported configurations:
- 16GB (8GB x 2) DDR5-5600 (Pre-installed)
- 32GB (16GB x 2) DDR5-4800 (Maximum supported)
If you wish to upgrade your RAM, I recommend using two 16GB DDR5-4800 SODIMM modules, as that is the highest supported configuration for your system.
Please let us know if you need further assistance.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
