I have a HP ENVY Laptop 17-ch1035nr. It does not power on. No lights when plugged in.

I have read to remove the RTC (CMOS) battery for 20 minutes.

I have the system open and removed the main battery. I cannot find the RTC battery. Does this system not have one? Does anyone know where it's located? Do I have to remove the motherboard? Any help/ suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi:

Your notebook does not have a CMOS/RTC battery.

The main internal battery also serves as the CMOS/RTC battery to maintain the BIOS and system clock settings.

Below is the link to the service manual.

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

Chapter 3 has the list of parts.

You will find no part number for a CMOS/RTC battery.

Chapter 5 has the component removal and replacement procedures.

You will find no procedure to remove or replace a CMOS/RTC battery.
