On my HP ENVY X2 I want to boot Ubuntu from a bootable USB Stick.

It works fine on my HP SPECTRE X2 but not on my HP ENVY X2.

I am using the recommended BIOS Options. (Secure boot disabled and Bootorder USB Diskette/USB HD)

The reason because I want to use Ubuntu is because the ENVY X2 not support Windows 10 and is to slow.

It would be a shame to throw the ENVY away ...

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi there,

Make sure that the Fast boot is also disabled. Sometimes you have to help it yourself by pressing F2 or F9(the boot order option). It's usually in the message at boot in the left bottom corner.

I just asked ChatGPT and got the right answer ....

My ENVY X2 CPU was by HP specially build for Windows 8 only. Meens Ubuntu EFI boot does not work.

So I have to throw away it.
