Elitebook 840 G1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This laptop no longer starts. I've done hard reset, pulled battery, disconnected cmod battery, tried bios recovery mode. The only responce I now get is with the battery out and plug in ACt the power button and caps lock flash once. This seems to suggest a dead motherboard?

I have notice the front edge LED flash in a sequence but I've found no reference to this anywhere. I was hopefully this gave more info. I don't seem to be allowed to post an image here but its in this link to HP forum. Any ideas what this code means?

Had you actually given the sequence, like 5 red flashes, or 3 orange then maybe .......

Its looking like a dead motherboard. Nothing seems to document when the front edge LED error codes.
