HP Envy BIOS admin password

HP Recommended
HP Envy M6-AQ005DX

I've just received a somewhat battered (screen and upper casing are completely missing) HP Envy M6-AQ005DX from a friend who recently upgraded, and am hoping to use it for some basic virtualization tests.

Unfortunately, the virtualization extensions are disabled and when I attempted to boot into BIOS to change this, I was confronted with a "Enter Administrator Password" prompt. My friend insists that he never set such a password, and my attempts to reset CMOS via the manual instructions did not work either.  following the instructions I have read elsewhere on these forums, I have attempted to enter three random passwords, and now the system is reporting itself as "disabled" with the following code: i 85019968

After doing some cursory reading, it seems that this is a relatively common issue amd that my only real option is to reach out to the community moderation staff in hopes they can help.

And so here we are! Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance!
