HP ENVY Notebook - 17-s043cl (Touch) (ENERGY STAR)

HP Envy Notebook 17 it won’t turn on. It suddenly stopped turning on normally. Every time I try to turn it on the power button flashes white once. I tried all options I saw online. I unplugged everything did the 20 second hold on power button and plugged it all back in. It never worked before until it suddenly worked doing that yesterday. Now today it’s back to not working and I’m just wondering what the main issue could possibly be. I bought a new ac adapter thinking my old one was bad. My battery doesn’t seem to be the issue so I’m kinda like what could have made it suddenly stop wanting to turn on.

You have done all the correct things.  Possibly the laptop is clogged with dust and due to overheating the memory sticks are not making good contact.

You should disassemble as shown in this video.

At 12:30 there is a picture of the motherboard and you can see the two memory sticks.

Discharge static electricity by touching a finger to metal frame or case before removing memory sticks.
Clean the memory contacts with eraser, use air duster, reseat memory.

Thank you so much!! I will definitely attempt this myself or pay for it to be done. By some miracle it’s working again. But I think it’s definitely what you mentioned so I appreciate your very helpful advice!
