My laptop has a black screen when I turn it on and the fans get really loud. I have tried everything to fix it. I have tested it without battery, taking Ram out and different Rams. Fans have no dust and battery is not swollen. What do I do?

Hi @Huntingmantyler,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're dealing with a severe issue with your HP Envy x360. Given the black screen, loud fans, and non-responsive Caps Lock indicator, it might be a hardware issue, but let's try a few more troubleshooting steps to see if we can narrow down the problem.
Hard Reset:
- Disconnect all peripheral devices (e.g., USB drives, external monitors).
- Disconnect the power adapter.
- Remove the battery (if it's easily removable).
- Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to drain any residual power.
- Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then try to power on the laptop.
BIOS Recovery:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Press and hold the Windows key + B, and while holding them, press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds, then release the Power button but keep holding the Windows key + B until the BIOS recovery screen appears. If the BIOS recovery screen does not appear, proceed to the next step.
External Display:
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV using HDMI or another compatible cable.
- Power on the external display first, then the laptop. This will help determine if the issue is with the internal display or the laptop itself.
Reset RAM:
- Make sure the RAM modules are properly seated. If possible, try booting with only one RAM module at a time to see if one of them is faulty.
Check for Beep Codes:
- Listen for any beep codes when you turn on the laptop. If there are any beeps, they can indicate a specific hardware issue.
CMOS Battery:
- If you are comfortable doing so, try resetting the CMOS battery. This can sometimes help with boot issues.
HP Diagnostics:
- If you can get to the HP logo screen, press F2 to run the HP Diagnostics tool to check for hardware issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
