HP Envy x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have an old HP 360 Envy, 11t-n000-x360 CTO PC.  I thought I would dust it off and let me daughter use it as a drawing pad.  I updated Windows and started the process to update the BIOS.  The first time, the BIOS update software ran thru and verified the installation and gave me some purple lettering saying update complete, however, upon reboot, I just get a blank screen and nothing.  I have done a hard reset by removing power, pressing and holding the power button for 15 sec.  After this reset, surprisingly, the PC then returned to the BIOS update screen and wrote the BIOS over again and then verified again.  This time there was no purple lettering completion message on reboot.  i am only getting a black screen with the power light and power adapter light on.  Can you help me with how I can get back to a functioning unit?  Thank you!

So after digging around on the forum, I found this solution:

This worked on my HP Pavilion 11-n034tu x360 laptop. So just to clarify exactly what I did. Firstly the issue arose after updating the BIOS when everything seemed to go fine except at the last step it didn't reboot - the screen was completely blank not even the backlight was on. I tried all of the key combinations on boot and nothing did anything. I opened it up and disconnected the battery and CMOS battery and then plugged it in to the charger and booted it while holding windows+v keys and then it started up after a few screen flashes. powered it back down, plugged the batteries back in and put it back together and now boots like normal.
