HP Envy x360m Convertible won't turn on

I have an HP Envy x360 (15m-dr0011dx) that won't turn on. Here are the symptoms;

The power light is on steady white, even with the laptop disconnected from its power.

Peripherals still get power.

Pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds does nothing.

I tried connecting it to an external monitor, and nothing happened.

I can't remove the battery without taking it apart, so that's not really an option.

Any suggestions?

After leaving it unplugged for a while, it came back on. Windows update seems to have been the culprit somehow.
