HP Laptop 15-dw
Microsoft Windows 11

I work in IT support for a medium size company and look after about 35 similar laptops, so I 'll try not to waste your time with basic 101 steps.

User reported laptop working fine last night, the last thing of interest that happened is it self-updated from Win 10 to Win 11.

This morning it will not boot, even to BIOS   Only thing that happens after pressing power button is white LED on side & fan come on.

Things I've tried:

>Hard shut & restart - no change

>Different, known good HP power supply

>Removed battery and tried again on just power

>Removed and reseated RAM after cleaning and air-blowing

>Removed and reseated SSD

>Connected HDMI to external monitor & toggled FN+F9 - no signal to monitor

>Tried to connect via RDP, no connection

I'm thinking maybe SSD died  but then I should at least see BIOS?

Any suggestions before I initiate a warranty return with HP?

thanks

Baz
