I just purchased a cheapie HP laptop (hp 14 dq1043cl) and for the life of me I cannot find on the internet how to get the thing to boot from USB. I have not been using PC's in a very long time. I have mostly Apple computers or Raspberry Pi.

Thanks, KQ6UP

Hi:

Normally you have the USB flash drive plugged in.

Turn on or restart the PC.

Immediately press/tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.

Select the F9 boot options menu and from that, select the USB flash drive.

It may indicate USB diskette on key/USB hard drive.

Then press the Enter key and the PC should boot from the flash drive.
