Hi @agustuscrown,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
No worries, I can help you with that! Booting from a USB on an HP laptop can be done by accessing the Boot Menu during startup. Here's a step-by-step guide to accessing the Boot Menu on most HP laptops.
Insert the USB: Make sure you have a bootable USB drive with the operating system or the software you want to boot from. Insert the USB into one of the USB ports on your HP laptop.
Power on or restart your laptop: If your laptop is already on, restart it to begin the boot process.
Press the Boot Menu key: During the startup process, you need to press a specific key to access the Boot Menu. The key to access the Boot Menu may vary depending on the model and the BIOS/UEFI version. Commonly used keys are.
- F9
- F10
- F11
- Esc
- Del
Select the USB drive: Once you access the Boot Menu, you should see a list of devices available for booting. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the USB drive (it might be listed as "USB," "USB-HDD," or the brand/model of your USB drive) and press Enter to select it.
Boot from USB: Your HP laptop should now start booting from the USB drive. If it's a bootable USB with an operating system, you'll see the installation or setup process begin.
That's it! Now your HP laptop should be booting from the USB drive.
If for some reason you're unable to access the Boot Menu or it doesn't recognize the USB drive, you might need to check the boot order in the BIOS/UEFI settings. In most HP laptops, you can access the BIOS/UEFI by pressing the F10 key during startup. From there, navigate to the boot settings and ensure that the USB drive is set as a boot option and prioritized over other devices. Save the changes and restart your laptop.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
