HP EliteBook 8570p
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

According to your recommendation I launch a new topic.
I have HP EliteBook 8570p, 4GB Ram, SSD 128GB, upgraded Windows7 64bit to Windows 10.
From the upgrade, so far it worked OK.
At startup, the NumLock first falls, then slowly flash the CapsLock and NumLock five times, then the fan swirles quickly and nothing happens, the black screen. There is no sound or beep. I tried all the tips on the Internet to solve the problem but did not help. Trying to hook up another monitor is the same. Is this a problem with a motherboard or a processor? This is an i5 processor with intel hd 4000 graphics. Is there any solution?

Hi

Hope this helps....

Different BIOS makers have different codes and below are 2 possibilities.

LED blinks 5 times

Main-Board

General Main-Board failure.

Test the Main-Board with the minimum hardware and reseat all the connections.

If the error persists, replace the Main-Board.

Power button LED blinks 5 times with 5 beeps

Memory

Reseat memory DIMM modules. If the problem is not resolved, contact support to resolve a possible RAM or Main-Board failure.

He tried to replace the Main-Board from a laptop with a friend, but he plunged it with water and did not give any signs of life. Replacing Main-Board mistakes is repeated, his Main-Board in my laptop does not give any signs of life, and my Main-Board in his laptop black screen. I do not have any sounds, just blinking five times, all the lights are bright (Wireless, Web browser, Mute, Calculator and front Wireless, Power, Hard drive )

Hi

Sorry but I do not believe I can help any further.

My suggestion is to rebuild yours and take the other to a repair shop.
