I have been using my laptop for a couple of years now and i have never experienced this issue. It all began two days ago, when i started noticing that my laptop would shut down itself suddenly after 2-3hours of use, the problem has extended to even when booting the laptop, the caps lock light blinks continously, while the screen is blank, at intervals of 3seconds for sometime then the computer restarts itself automatically. After blinking for more than a hundred times the laptop boots successfully but then again after a few hours of use it shuts down again suddenly and i have to repeat the same procedure. took it to a shop yesterday and the fan was cleaned, also the area around the processor was heated, i believe it is called 'reflowing'.   They tested my RAM and everything was okay. after getting home with the laptop, i powered it on, and the same issue began, the capslock started blinking, after calling the shop, was told to start the computer wthout the battery being present, i dd this and after a few attempts the laptop booted successfully. i used t and shut it down as i was going to bed. This morning tried booting it and the same caps lock issue occurred. Please can someone assist, this is getting out of hand now. Thanks in advance.

Hello @The_Fossette, yes, the issue is not only the booting, also sudden shutting down. However  did research and i tried hard resetting but that did not help, i monitored the blinking of the Led light and when i checked the code (2 times)  i found out that the suggested issue was a BIOS Corruption failure. i reset my bios to default and then i powered on the laptop without the battery and it's working..right now been using it without shutting down for the last 6hours, am not sure if the problem is solved, however i want to run the diagnostics test and see if anything will come up, thanks. I'd appreciate if i heard any other advice from you Sir. Thanks.

Hi @Innocentcrown

Thank you for posting back.

Yes, if the caps lock light blinks twice continuously it is bios corruption.

I recommend you to restart your computer and check if everything is working fine. If the issue persists you can follow the below document to restore the bios.
