I'm having this issue with this brand new laptop since day one, the laptop its just three weeks old.
Everytime I turn off (not sleep , not hibernate, yes Im sure its OFF) the laptop Im losing around 10% charge DAILY, while its turned Off.
Things I've Tried:
-Disable USB Charging
-Disconnecting all usb devices while its off
-Checked Battery health (Windows battery report was OK, and the battery last around 8 hours from 100% to 10% with the laptop turned on and doing office work)
Before anyone comments with a generic copy/paste/script response that this is normal... NO, its not normal, I've had around 6 HP laptops before this one and this is the first time I encounter this kind of behavior.
A laptop that drains its battery while its OFF will definitely reduce the battery life expectancy by A LOT, as the battery will constantly charge every day, losing valuable battery life cicles...
Any ideas, or a BIOS update that I'm missing? I have the latest BIOS F.23 Rev.A

Hi @radiux_sv,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
Since you mentioned that it's a brand new unit and you also have updated Bios, and a few other troubleshooting, and still no change.
I recommend you contact the store you purchased this laptop and see if they can help.
Or it might need to be checked. I've sent you a private message with further instructions. In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Update on the problem:
i've been trying to find a solution before sending this pc back to hp, without any success.
What I've done so far:
1)Disabled Usb charging
2)Disconnect all usb devices before shutting down
3)Disabled Fast load
4)Disabled Fast Load using group policy to affect the whole OS and not only my user account
5)Fully reinstalling Windows with the newer version available at Microsoft (22h2) 100% clean install
Neither option worked. The battery drain goes away for just one night (I turn off and unplug the laptop at 100% charge, next day charge is still 100%) and the next day doing the same thing battery drains 10% or more, it just doesnt make any sense.
Obviously is some kind of Bios bug, is there any chance that this will be addressed by HP or should I return the laptop?
