Hi @ADAM380,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP laptop won’t boot or start, and even after using the BitLocker recovery key, it still fails to recover or boot. Let’s go through step-by-step troubleshooting to identify the issue:

1. Check Power Source

Ensure the charger is connected and the power LED is on.

Try a different wall outlet.

If removable, remove the battery and connect only via AC power.

2. Perform a Hard Reset

Disconnect the AC adapter and remove the battery (if possible).

Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds to drain residual power.

Reconnect the power (and battery) and try turning it on again.

3. Access BIOS/UEFI

Turn on the laptop and press Esc repeatedly (or F10) to enter BIOS/UEFI.

Check if the hard drive is detected and if boot order is correct.

Ensure Secure Boot is enabled (or disable temporarily if troubleshooting).

4. Attempt Windows Recovery

Create a Windows 10/11 USB recovery drive on another PC.

Boot your HP laptop from the USB drive (F9 for Boot Menu).

Select Repair your computer → Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → Startup Repair.

Startup Repair can fix corrupted boot files.

5. Check BitLocker Recovery

If BitLocker recovery fails repeatedly:

Ensure you are entering the correct 48-digit recovery key for this specific drive.

If the recovery key is accepted but boot fails, the boot files may be corrupted and need repair via recovery USB.

I hope this helps.
