Hi!

I would like to increase the RAM of my old laptop. I was wondering if this model HP Notebook - 15-ac600ur has two DDR3L SDRAM slots or only one?

-I would like to increase it to a maximum of 8 GB, currently it is 4 GB.

Thank you!

Hi:

Your notebook has one memory slot and can support a maximum of 1 x 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 memory.

You will have to remove the 4 GB memory chip and replace it with an 8 GB memory chip.

Below is the link to the service manual.

Since you want to upgrade the memory, I recommend that you take this opportunity to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a better performing 2.5" SATA solid state drive (SSD).

That will help performance more than the additional 4 GB of memory.
