Hp notebook 15-dw1083wm

I press power button

Fan kicks on

Immediately fan stops

Screen stays black whole time

Led shows power is on

Nothing happens.

All of a sudden after awhile of trying things the fan continued to stay on.. but I shut it off by holding the power button and now it's back to turning the fan off as soon as it boots on again.

It's done this before (when brand new) and maybe once since. But usually works after I shut it off and on a few times. 2 yrs old. Barely used. Sits on a desk plugged into power strip in sleep mode.
