Notebook13
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi everybody,

Im looking for some help or to know if anyone else has had the same problem. So, my problem is this, my HP notebook is stuck in a reboot cycle but that’s not it I have watched every video out there on how to recover it. I’ve treid resets, system recovery’s, and every other thing. Every time I try to reset my laptop it will load to about 70% and then will give me a messsage that day “there was a problem resetting your PC” I’m very frustrated because nothing is working and I don’t think I can afford the crazy expensive computer repair shops

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer if none of the built in recovery methods are working would be to clean install W10 as follows...

You can make a W10 USB flash drive installer with the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, using an 8 GB flash drive using another Windows PC, if your PC is not working.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation process, select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.

Here are the steps to create the W10 USB flash drive installer...

Select Download tool now, and select Run.

If you agree to the license terms, select Accept.

On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC, and then select Next.

Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) for Windows 10.

Select which media you want to use:

USB flash drive. Plug in a blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space. Any content on the flash drive will be deleted.

Then you can reinstall the drivers and available software from the PC's support page.

You're very welcome.

Hopefully that will get you back up and running again.

You posted that you are running a 32 bit operating system.

Most HP notebooks come with 64 bit operating systems, so be sure you download the correct bit version of W10 because the driver page will only have drivers for one or the other, not both.

I didn’t really now what that meant so I just guessed because I didn’t know how to find out

What is the product number of your notebook?

The product number can be found on the same label as the serial number.

Please do not post the serial number.

Hi:

Below is the link to the product specs page for your notebook.  It originally came with W10 64 bit.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04936082

Here is the link to the support and driver page for that model...

Those notebooks have tiny 32 GB hard drives, so you may want to consider deleting all of the partitions on the hard drive during the installation process, leaving one big partition to install W10 on.  That will leave you more free space for future windows updates and programs you may need to install.

Bear in mind that programs like Microsoft Office won't be available anymore after you clean install the operating system.
