Hi,
After a gaming session, I powered off and closed the lid on my notebook. Now I try to power on, the led appear on the power button, I hear the fans, but the screen is black. Also, pressing caps lock does not illuminate the caps lock led. Things I’ve tried:
- Hard reset (hold power button for 15 sec)
- connect external monitor via hdmi (no signal on ext monitor)
- opened the unit, removed the battery, and with power disconnected, pressed and held power button for 15-20 sec to discharge all components. Then with battery still disconnected, plugged in powere adapter and powered on - still the issue persists. Is my expensive gaming notebook toast?

This seems to be a hardware issue and might require one on one interaction to fix the issue, I am sending you a private message with the steps to talk to HP support.
