I have an HP Omen 16 that i bought almost a year ago. I had no problems with it whatsoever until this month. Sometimes my laptop overheated and eventually shuts down and can't be turned on after a while which is completely reasonable. But just now my laptop shuts down after only 1 minute of being turned on without having any heavy applications running (i only had google chrome and discord on) and now it can't be turned on but it still has power. I tried doing the trick where you unplug the laptop, hold the power button for 15-20 seconds, then try turning it back on but nothing happened, i need help.
Edit : it turned on after some time but it turned back off after like 5 minutes
Another note is when the laptop turned back on, all the previous applications that were on before the laptop randomly shut downs are still on
I tried checking the event viewer and I have a report that says :
Power Manager has not requested suppression of all input (INPUT_SUPPRESS_REQUEST=0)

@elfmrcs, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Power Reset Again:
Unplug everything (charger too).
Hold the power button for 30 seconds.
Wait 10 minutes, then plug in the charger only and turn it on.
Boot to BIOS Menu:
Turn it on and press F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS.
Let the laptop sit in BIOS for a few minutes.
If it shuts down here too, it’s a hardware problem, not Windows.
Run HP Hardware Check:
Turn it on and press Esc, then press F2 for diagnostics.
Run the System Test and Thermal Test.
See if anything fails.
Watch the Fans:
Listen when it starts—do the fans spin?
Weak fan noise or no airflow? Could mean clogged vents or broken fan.
Let me know how it goes.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
