Omen 15-ce089no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So, when i add an additional 2,5" sata 3 SSD drive to my pc, it gives The code 3f2 when trying to boot Windows!

When i remove the additional SSD, The error goes away and Windows boots normally. Have tried with two different drives (both SSD).

To clarify, the pc came only with the 256Gb mSata drive, on the place of 2,5" drive was a plastic dummy one and the cable for hard drive.

That's most likely because, when you add the second drive, the default cabling sequence makes it the FIRST drive, so Windows tries to boot from it.

If you go into the BIOS/UEFI settings when you boot, you can confirm this and might be able to change the boot sequence.

I'm so sorry! I completely forgot to mention that bios doesn't even see the new drive.

What a strange problem...

Unfortunately, unlike with the older SATA drives, the new M.2 SATA drives are not all the same in terms of compatibility.

The new one you are trying to use, if it is not even seen by the BIOS, is simply not compatible with it.

Then both Adata SU800 and WD blue ssd are uncompatible with My HP Omen. That makes the sata 3 connection in the omen pretty useless in 2019. And the pc is only 1 year old! Will probably be my last HP comp if this one cannot even support common 2,5" SSD drives...
