Hi so i was tinkering around with the boot sequence  on my HP Omen 15-dh1059nr it has Windows 10 installed on the m.2 ssd so i was trying to install Windows 7 on a external hard drive and try to boot from that. I know it’s a legacy OS so i had to disable boot security to boot from it. After all it didn’t boot i turned on boot security back and went back on windows 10 I noticed the battery icon wasn’t showing it was charging and the charger LED by the port wasn’t lid up. I unplug and plug back the ac adapted and it still was showing its not charging After couple of minutes my laptop died because battery got low. I checked the AC adapter with a multimeter and it was giving the right voltage I opened my laptop and checked the battery and was also giving the correct voltage at this point I dunno why my laptop isn’t charging and don’t know how to fix it.
