Hi @Sebsyphax,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like there may be an issue with the power supply or the battery of your HP Pavilion laptop. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue,

  • Check the power supply: Make sure the power supply is plugged in securely to both the laptop and the wall outlet. Check if there is any damage to the power cord, and try using a different power outlet to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Remove the battery: If the laptop still won't turn on, try removing the battery and plugging the laptop directly into the power supply. If the laptop turns on, then the battery may need to be replaced.
  • Perform a hard reset: Shut down the laptop, unplug the power supply, and remove the battery. Then press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds. This will discharge any residual power in the system and can sometimes resolve startup issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
