HP Pavilion 15t-n200 CTO Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have had an HP Pavilion 15 notebook since 2014.  Recently, the notebook has displayed a black screen with a blinking line in the top-left corner whenever I turn it on.  Initially, I thought it would be due to the battery reaching the end of its life, so I ordered a replacement battery.

The replacement battery came in today, and I still run into the black screen with the line in the corner upon boot-up.  I have ran and passed a memory test and a hard drive test, but I cannot access the system recovery at F11.  I also tried the method where you hold down the power button for 60 seconds without the battery, but to no avail.

Can anyone please help me on how to get the notebook working again?

Hello @Ub6424,

Thank you for reaching out.  I tried out your method, but I kept running into the same black screen with the corner line after I hit Save and Exit from the BIOS.
