HP Pavillion15-cs0064st
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop model is 15-cs0064st,it stopped working since yesterday while I was working on school project, I have all my work saved locally, any help is appreciated.

Issue:  Power button Light is blinking with 2-3 seconds gap on  key board  and light is on near the cord connected to power supply , but doesnot boot up and screen is blank not even blue screen.

I have tried below steps:

1. Unplugging usbs, dual monitor connections and power shutdown but no success.

2. kept the laptop shutdown night and tried turning it on no luck.

3. tried to bring up with out connecting to power supply, did not work.

I want to understand if it is battery issue. So that i can have it order it before opening. Any recommendations.

@twoboys, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

If the computer is powering ON, it means it is not an issue with the battery/power supply.

Perform a power reset as shown in this document.

Connect an external monitor and check for the display.

Recover BIOS

  1. Turn off the computer.

  2. Connect the notebook to a power source using the power adapter.

  3. Press and hold the Windows key  and the B key at the same time while the computer is off.
  4. While still pressing both keys, hold down the Power button for one second, and then release the Power button and the keys.

The power LED light remains on, and the screen remains blank for about 40 seconds. You might hear beeping sounds. Afterwards, an HP BIOS Update screen displays and the BIOS update begins.

If the issue persists, reseat the memory modules as shown in step 4 of Computer Starts but Screen Remains Blank (Windows 10, 😎.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
