Product: HP Pavilion 15 cs-3073cl
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
I have an HP Pavilion cs3xxx series laptop, and I've been having trouble getting it to boot. Here’s a detailed rundown of what I’ve done so far and the symptoms I'm experiencing:
Symptoms:
- The power button's light is on and the charging light is white after a night of charging.
- The screen remains blank, and there are no fan noises.
- The drive light is off.
- When connecting an external monitor via HDMI, the monitor briefly responds but then says "no signal" and goes back to sleep.
- I cannot access the BIOS or Safe Mode.
Steps Taken:
Upgraded HDD to SSD:
- Cloned the old HDD to a new SSD.
- After installing the SSD, the laptop wouldn't turn on. The charging light was off, even when plugged in and no lights on the keyboard or screen turned on.
Hard Battery Reset:
- Removed the battery, held the power button for 30 seconds, and reinserted the battery.
- After this, the power light came on and the charging light became amber (eventually white after a night of charfing), but the screen remained blank.
- I also did the same thing without removing the battery:
- Removed charging cable
- held power button down for 30 seconds (the power button light turns on then off)
- plugged in charging cable and turned on laptop. Symptoms persist.
Attempted External Monitor:
- Connected the laptop to an external monitor via HDMI.
- The external monitor turns on but then says "no signal" and goes back to sleep while the HDMI cable is plugged in or is unplugged.
Reconnected Old HDD:
- Reinstalled the original HDD, but the laptop still doesn’t turn on properly (same symptoms).
I cannot access BIOS settings and I don't hear any beeps or fans running. Is there anything else I can try to get my laptop to fully turn on?
