Pavilion Gaming
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So last night when I got home i went to turn on my HP Pavilion Gaming notebook to finish up a couple projects from work. When i turned it on a screen came up saying "Fixing (C)- x% y of z files". I let the computer do it's thing and then when it booted up, the boot process was taking forever. I ended up turning the computer off and let it sit over night on the charger. This morning, went to boot it up to let it go through the start up process, and nothing. The light next to the charger port is on, but when I press the power button, nothing. When I hold the button, nothing. What could the problem be?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's try a reset here:

1) Shutdown the computer.

2) Unplug all the Adapter and peripherals connected.

3) Press and hold down the power button for 20 seconds.

4) Plug-in the Adapter.

5) Try to turn on the computer.

If the issue persists, try a BIOS recovery: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02693833

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the "Accept as solution" button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!

Have a great day!
