Recently I decided to update the bios firmware (ver. F.0B) of my laptop. I tried to flash by sp77453 software package under win10x64, but it wasn't successful. My laptop refused to restart. Power led and amber led were on, fan was running, screen was black. I have no hidden recovery partitions on my laptop since I replaced system hdd with ssd years ago. I backed up a recovery USB flash drive with this steps. But nothing was helpful until I decided to detach all hard drives (ssd and hdd) and left only usb stick in! Then it flashed correctly (might be that some recovery system/built-in flashing software eventually found the usb recovery drive) and everything was good. I'm posting this because It didn't offer me such advice anywhere in the internet and it might be helpful!
