HP Pavilion g7
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hello,

   Once I start my HP Pavilion g7 laptop I'm instantly seeing a black and blue screen that says "Enter Administrator Password or Power On Password".  I don't remember setting this up, so of course after entering the incorrect password three times I get a message that says "System Disabled - Key: 51563490"

If anyone can help me get past this or figure out what is going on I would highly appreciate it!

Thank you,

Cody

What letter do you have before the number ?

Well, that’s just the issue — there is not letter before the number! Lol (see Photo)4149AB10-CFC6-44A8-9449-D5D69C674196.jpeg

Unmoderated image still to be shown , im in the same situation as you are and have seen that ones which have i and the number after have an even more difficult procedure , like mine has unfortunately.

I am a Cisco Certified Network Administrator, but I have not come up against this issue in my career thus far - almost makes me feel like I should go back to school.  I'm just not sure how to proceed with getting into this computer.  Unfortunately, I am not even able to enter the BIOS settings of this PC.

@DavidPK

   THANK YOU!!! I have been researching how to get past this for hours now, and within a half hour you've resolved my issue; the code you provided worked perfectly!  I still would like to understand how this happened, and what I should do the next time (if there is a next time) that this happens.

   Could you please explain a bit further?  Feel free to private message or email me if necessary!

Best,

Cody

Hi,

You're welcome :generic:

You should find the blog below of interest although the scripts will not work for Insyde 8 digit codes prefixed with a 'i'
