Alright, so the laptop I have is an HP Pavillion x360 m3 Convertible. The problem is that when I press the power button it won’t turn on. I fully charged it, as it shows a white light instead of orange.

Now the thing is it there’s a very small chance that it’d turn on, like I press it every 3-5 minutes to just see if it’ll work, and when it does turn on, the screen doesn’t change. It’s just black, it still shows that it’s on but, nothing, I hooked up an hdmi to my laptop to my TV to see if it’s a hardware problem, but the TV doesn’t show anything so it’s not a monitor problem. I also had this laptop for 2 years, so I don’t know if I still got the warrant.

@Bolt_X,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

What is the operating system you are using?

Meanwhile, I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

1. Turn off the computer.

2. Remove the computer from any port replicator or docking station.

3. Disconnect all external connected peripheral devices, such as USB storage devices, external displays, and printers.

4. Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.

5. Remove the battery from the battery compartment. (If removable)

6. Press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds to drain residual electrical charge from the capacitors that protect the memory.

7. Insert the battery and plug the AC adapter back into the notebook, but do not connect any of the peripheral devices.

8. Press the Power button to turn on the computer.

9. On the Options screen, select Continue and continue to Windows 10.

10. If a startup menu opens, use the arrow keys to select Start Windows Normally, then press the Enter key.

11. Reconnect each of the peripheral devices.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

I tried that already, but I did it again but still it didn’t work. It didn’t work because my laptop turns on at certain times. But when it does it shows a black screen. The Operating system, I’m not sure but it’s either Windows 8 (64 bit) or Windows 10 (64 bit), it’s been a while since I used this laptop so I forgot its operating system.
