My 2016 HP ProBook 430 G2 does not turn on after restart. I have a blank screen, and the Caps Lock indicator LED is continuously blinking (about 0.7 seconds between blinks, num lock is NOT blinking). When I turn it off by holding the power button, the Caps Lock indicator stays lit up permanently. When I unplug and plug back in, Caps Lock is off.
I tried all kinds of combinations of taking the battery out, unplugging, holding down the power button for a longer time...
Funnily, I had the same problem the previous two restarts, where eventually the computer would boot again. During reboots it was working perfectly fine for days, without any signs of issues, going in standby and waking back up etc.
My main issue is that I cannot find any information on this error code. Continuous blinking was not in any of the tables I found. hence, I don't even know where to start troubleshooting.
A couple of times trying to reset by holding down the power button there was the sequence of two blinks of Caps Lock + Num Lock, repeating itself three times, before rebooting and going back to the continuous blinks. According to the table I saw, this means that BIOS recovery failed?
Any ideas where to start attempting to fix the issue?

The problem was indeed a corrupt BIOS. It was annoyingly difficult to fix, as the Notebook would only boot around one time in an hour, but I finally succeeded by downloading the current BIOS version, creating a BIOS-Update USB drive and "updating" the BIOS with it (to the already installed most recent version).
The BIOS was hard to find, it is not listed on HP's drivers page for the ProBook 430 G2, but I finally found it on their ftp server ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp74001-74500/ as sp74048.exe
