Hello @Bovin, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP Slate 21-k100.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!

Reviving an HP Slate 21-k100 that is stuck at the HP logo with swirling lines usually involves a few troubleshooting steps to diagnose and resolve the issue. Here are some steps that might help:

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Power Cycle the Device:

    • Turn off the device completely.
    • Disconnect the power cable and wait for about 60 seconds.
    • Reconnect the power cable and try turning on the device again.
  2. Boot into Recovery Mode:

    • Turn off the Slate.
    • Press and hold the "Volume Down" button.
    • While holding the "Volume Down" button, press the "Power" button.
    • Release the "Power" button when the device starts, but continue to hold "Volume Down" until the Android recovery menu appears.
    • Use the "Volume" buttons to navigate and the "Power" button to select options.
  3. Perform a Factory Reset (if necessary):

    • If accessing recovery mode is successful, select the option to "Wipe data/factory reset."
    • Confirm any on-screen prompts to proceed with the reset. Note that this will erase all data on the device, so ensure any important data is backed up if possible.
  4. Update or Reinstall Firmware:

    • If the device still doesn't boot, consider downloading the latest firmware for the HP Slate 21-k100 and installing it via a USB drive, if that option is available.
  5. Check for Hardware Issues:

    • If software solutions are ineffective, there might be a hardware issue. Components such as RAM, storage, or the motherboard may need inspection by a professional.

Take care and have an amazing day!
