Hi! I have a Spectre that is just hanging on the HP boot screen. I have tried a hard restart and also pulled up the BIOS to run some diagnostics, but it found nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

@kiki2311, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand how frustrating it can be when your HP Spectre hangs on the boot screen. Since you've already tried a hard restart and BIOS diagnostics with no errors found, here are a few more steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Perform a Hard Reset (if not already done)
- Power off the laptop completely.
- Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, printers, etc.).
- Press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds.
- Reconnect only the power adapter and try powering it on again.
Boot into Recovery Mode
- Power off the laptop.
- Turn it on and immediately press the F11 key repeatedly until the Recovery Manager or Windows Recovery Environment appears.
- If successful, you can try:
- System Restore to revert to a previous working state.
- Startup Repair to fix boot-related issues.
Reset BIOS to Default
- Turn off the laptop.
- Power it on and press F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS Setup.
- Once in BIOS, press F9 to load setup defaults, then F10 to save and exit.
Create a Windows 11 Recovery USB (if F11 doesn’t work)
If you can access another PC:
- Download the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool from Microsoft:
https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11 - Create a bootable USB drive.
- Insert it into your Spectre and boot from USB (press Esc > F9 to select boot device).
- Choose Repair your computer > Troubleshoot > Startup Repair.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
