This Spectrum x 360 is nice. So beatuiful. But there is a serious problem that the fan are so noisy and it easily get too hot though i just edit the word. I am too much bothered. I dont know if anyone else is the same situation with me. Should i return it? However, I really love the outlook of this laptop.

@wlip Welcome to HP Forums Community!

Did you know that Generally, when temperatures inside the case rise above 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit), the risk of damaging important internal components increases greatly?

While you respond to that, Click here to see this video in full screen on YouTube to reduce Heat Inside the Laptop to Prevent Overheating, alternatively, you can Click here for step by step instructions.

Also, to resolve issues such as Fan is Noisy and Spins Constantly:

  • Updating your Notebook computer BIOS
  • Keeping notebook air vents clear and clean
  • Increasing the efficiency of the notebook to reduce heat
  • Using Windows Task Manager to identify corrupt processes
  • Selecting power save settings to shut off your computer when it is not in use

Actually just made an account just to comment.  I don't know how you figured this out, but I've watched all my temps (F) drop 10-15 degrees in the pasted 15 minutes.  Very thankful.  This was frustrating until now.

@mgibson99 Thanks for the post, this seem to have stopped the fans kicking in all the time which is great,

Temps are 40-50 on idle now but that is far better than the 65 - 75 it was at idle!

Now I just need to decide what browser I want to switch too!

Thanks again!
