I was using my laptop and it said low battery, went to plug it in but would not charge. It then died and will not charge at all, I plugged in the charger and the usual LED light next to the port that lights up when it is charging will not light up. The charger is USB-C and I plugged it into my phone and it  charges fine, it is the original charger I received with the laptop. I have changed outlets and made sure there is no damage to the charging cable.  I got the laptop in early 2017 and have never had issues with it before. Warranty expired last year. I have tried holding down the power button without the charger plugged in for 30 seconds for a hard reset and then tried turning it back on with charger, no luck. Also tried that with the charger plugged in. Laptop is completely unresponsive.

Any help will be appreciated! I am not in financial standings to buy a  whole new laptop, especially since this one was a gift and was pretty expensive and is only 2 and a half years old.

This seems like a Motherboard issue since it's not even charging at all. I suggest you contact HP Support for Service Options

Since the Notebook is out of warranty there will be a fee for the repair
